It seems Chris Christie’s approval rating as a sports fan is just as low as his approval rating as governor of New Jersey.
Christie was a spectator at the Brewers-Cubs game in Milwaukee today when he was noticed and heckled by some Cubs fans during the seventh inning. As is typical of Christie, who’s maybe interested in a sports talk radio gig when he leaves office early next year, he decided to confront them.

Video obtained by WISN 12 shows Christie arguing with Brad Joseph, who says he heckled Christie and called him a hypocrite. The nacho-carrying governor, inches from Joseph’s face, called Joseph a “big shot” before returning to his seat near the Brewers’ dugout.
As this was happening, Cubs rookie backup Victor Caratini smacked a tie-breaking home run, the first of his major-league career. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up, no matter how hard you try.
Christie was in Milwaukee visiting his son, Andrew, who works in the Brewers’ front office. Who knew? Maybe next time Scott Walker can hook his fellow governor up with some better seats.
