Nail down the furniture and strap on a helmet. Comedy’s rampaging id monster is coming to town.
Eric Andre, one of the most innovative (and popular) performers in modern comedy, will be doing five shows in Madison between July 26-28, the Comedy Club on State announced today.
Since 2012, Andre has hosted Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, a surreal, jarring version of late night that features the comic frequently destroying his set and making his guests (who have ranged from a game Seth Rogen to a very not game Lauren Conrad) deeply uncomfortable.
Aside from that, Andre has appeared on TV shows like 2 Broke Girls and Man Seeking Woman and will be voicing a hyena in director Jon Favreau’s 2019 remake of The Lion King.
Tickets are on sale now, and as the show is a special engagement, passes and coupons will not be accepted. And be sure to catch Andre’s talk show sidekick, Hannibal Buress, when he headlines the Orpheum on Sept. 20.
