I’ll be succinct, lest I piss off Ron Swanson himself: Nick Offerman is coming to Madison.
The beloved actor and comedian will perform at the Orpheum Theater on Friday, Sept. 13, it was announced Monday.
He’s best known as the gruff, begrudging bureaucrat Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation, the Chicago-born Offerman has spent his time away from Pawnee developing into a singular comedic presence (and also doing a lot of woodworking). He’s a lot like Mark Twain in his folksiness, but without the racism. In a tour announcement, Offerman says: “My aim in this undertaking is to encourage my fellow Homo Sapiens to aim higher in life than the channels of consumerism would have us imagine.”
That sounds great and all, but honestly, Nick: You had us at “meat tornado.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m., but will be available Thursday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. via the presale code HUMORIST.
